Haha. Those two jocks would have wiped the floor with Dylan. He probably weighs a hundred pounds smoking wet. Dude had those smouldering good looks, but I couldn't ever buy him as a tough guy. He couldn't beat his way through a wet paper sack. He'd get kicked around by a stiff breeze. But he sure could talk some smack.

Dylan McKay was the heart & soul of this show. His friendship with Brandon was the truest, best & most endearing aspect of it, the one dynamic that rang with the most depth & authenticity. Although underpinned by many factors & relationships, the one shared by Dylan & Brandon was the strongest, most pure & least complicated. It drew you in instantly. And what amazing magnetism that Luke Perry oozed as Dylan McKay, my generation's James Dean. When he first left the show in late 1995 during season six that, IMHO, was when the show really ended. After that it lost much of its flavor, poignancy, coolness, originality & awesomeness. 90210 became just another soap opera. And it often veered off into bizarro territory (granted it was always cheesy at times, yet that's all part of the appeal!). Yes, that friendship that instantly developed between those two was perhaps thee premier driving relationship dynamic during the whole series. Once Dylan left in late 1995 it was never the same

@@kamalking4933 Yes he did. Yet it just wasn't the same as before. For the Dylan years of late 1990 to late 1995 were special, they were fascinating, revealing, original, & far more endearing. Dylan McKay was the heart & soul of that show during its first 5 or 6 seasons, while that awesome & magnetic trifecta of Dylan, Brandon & Brenda wasn't just the linchpin that held that show together it was its main focal point, basically its central theme & most poignant relationship dynamic, as it drew one in powerfully & beautifully. There was a magic to it back in the early-mid 90s, that trio of charismatic, intelligent, deeply caring, committed & intriguing characters. In ways those three, Dylan, Brandon & Brenda, & how they interacted with one another defined the early 90s. Those sublimely halcyon days of yore!

If my memory is correct, this was the FIRST time that we saw Dylan on 90210 in the opening season. NO ONE could play that part better than Luke Perry did! May he rest in peace.......
