Pretty pointless video when you're not allowed to play any of the music.

Beatlemania was wild-the clothes -belts' Beatle boots -Beatle wigs -it was everywhere---But when I heard the Moody sound of a guitar doing arpeggio's -n A minor- Deep Velvet voice comes in with the Vox Organ- the hair stood up on my neck -A man telling a story of WOE--I knew I had to learn to play this music-My parents had no idea -my music teacher didn't know or care --So many bands - so many great songs and still songs are being discovered from back then that got no airplay--What a time!!!!!!!!!!

Ok the movies Grease and Back to the Future were fantasy musicals created in the late 70s and the 80s and as such had nothing to do with reality of America in the 1950s. American Graffiti was perhaps a little closer to the mark.

I liked this video, perhaps next time add the titles of the songs that you are using - as a means to “get into” classical music! You also can list some of the music you used that you would recommend to someone who says they don’t like classical (like me)

Terrible musical joke alert: What's the keynote of good manners? B natural But how wonderful to see the fantastic work of Bartok highlighted...I love the challenge of crashing through some of his fabulously rhythmic pieces!

Thanks so much for watching this video. If it's too fast, just hit the 0.75x speed! I made this a few years ago when the YT trend was to have very fast moving videos. I'm going to post a new video about the start of opera which I recorded around the same time soon!

Thanks for this! I am trying to find great videos to show my advanced classes. Today we are learning about the Classical time period and this fits nicely and will engage my middle school students for sure!

@@TalkTheMusic that would be wonderful! Unsolicited suggestion... would love to see a playlist “Time Period of Music” featuring Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical (which you have), Romantic, 20th Century, and Modern. Your video was on point with what I’ve already taught to my students and VERY engaging for youth/young adults. Regardless of what you might create, I am happy to help promote your channel too among my music colleagues. Keep up the great work!

Hi, that’s so kind. Great idea re: musical timeline. I just posted a video I made a few years ago but never uploaded about the birth of opera. When I start making the videos again I might talk a little slower but with similar content! Thanks again for watching and glad it’s been useful

Great content but speaks way too fast if you were to show this to students aged 11-12 yrs old. And we're Aussies here where we speak just as fast but for learning and education purposes, a bit too fast.

This song is about “loss” and while they have good voices the emotion is missing. It’s just not a song that needs to be sung for the sake of singing. Listen to Marin Mazzie, Bernadette Peters, Nathan Gardner, Aaron Tevit and you will see what I’m saying.
