So basically the relay allows the switch to work without taking on the heavy load of the lights?

A loose lid on a kings box is not a problem at 1/3 or less of the price

There's nothing wrong with king's gear. I still use it in my brand new hilux. I'm actually running 2 x 300ah lithium batteries from 4wdsupacentre

2005 HiLux VZN167 V6 .3.4lt came with spotlights fitted, relays are there, all the wiring you described, to 2 switches on the dash, yet they have not been successful. Is this vehicle negative switching ???.
@Campingdownunder4 күн бұрын
A lot of the older hilux's were negative switching

@Campingdownunder Older 🤪 ? Thank you.
@Campingdownunder4 күн бұрын
@Jason.SR5 pre 2015 is more likely to be negative switching

Big effort to share your personal content especially in Australia. You clearly have what it takes to make a come back so keep planning and working towards your goals. Identify the factors or people including yourself that have lead to your troubles. Grief what's gone, own it, Reflect and have gratitude for tomorrow's opportunities. Don't make the same mistakes.

Great video. I’ve just bought a self contained van for my security as my relationship is turbulent and I’m not paying high rent. I’m deaf so it makes me more nervous. I’ve got good friends that will let me park on their property. You have a compassionate voice and you sound very knowledgeable. Thanks again

Sorry to hear that. I know what your going through. When I moved to Western Australia last year I lived out of the hilux for 2 months until I found a room to rent & I'm still renting a room now. Rent is just far to expensive to afford on your own these days. Hopefully your doing okay?

She sounds sketchy mate, nothing you said would warrent a loving woman act like that.... SHE was the one that wanted to move there!... and the fact she has moved on that quick is also a bit convienient. I think the ONLY mistake you made was focusing 100% in commiting to your partners vision without realising the position you COULD end up in yourself.... your ex partner has not handled any if this well. You seem a well balanced and good intentioned human being, if your ex saw that, recognised it, and appreciated you theres no way she would have reacted like she did. - stay strong my guy!

Both are cheap flimsy shit, poles and rings brake without applying much pressure. Crash pads smash them.
@Campingdownunder11 күн бұрын
You go pay top dollar then mate. This is a budget swag review. It's not intended to be premium quality. Love to see a crash pad sell a swag for less than $200
@johnnykronos23011 күн бұрын
@Campingdownunder settle down pinnochio if ya pay a couple more bucks you can get something that lasts.
@Campingdownunder11 күн бұрын
@johnnykronos230 crash pad is more than double. I've had heaps of king's swags over the years & they've been fine. I'd rather someone on a budget buy what they can afford rather than staying home believing they can't go outdoors without the best of everything. Everyone should buy the best their budget allows for. Yes if you have a bigger budget then of course buy something better quality

I’m confused by grounding (earthing the metal body of unit) - I’m presuming this refers to the 240v side of things - I see the advice is to earth to the chassis but the chassis of a 4WD isn’t connected to the earth except via the tyres, which presumably act as an insulator to some degree - doesn’t this increase the risk of electrocution if the chassis becomes 240v AC ‘live’ and the person who touches it from outside (or getting in/ out of the vehicle) earths it ?

I've done a few 4x4 excursions over the years and have used a few swags.....not a fan. For me claustrophobic to say the least. Even the jumbo swags don't have enough head height for me to sit up. A 3 second tent(even if it takes me 2 minutes) is a game changer. And of coarse it's sheer lack of volume is a winner! it will take up no space in my Land Cruiser ;-) Winner winner chicken dinner!!!

If people are in a town with a showground or facility that allows camping, as many especially in regional areas are, people can also start off by camping at these facilities to get used to it.
