Greetings from germany. It's been decades since I first read about this band in the German "Metal Hammer" Magazine. At that time money was tight and so I couldn't buy the album. Nobody from the metal scene I knew at that time had anything from this band. I can still remember that the name of the band somehow had something to do with the coin-operated machine at the entrance to the New York subway. Which I thought was very cool. After that, I completely lost sight of Token Entry. After that, I completely lost sight of Token Entry. And don't ask me why (perhaps out of nostalgia). All of a sudden, in 2024, the name came back to my eyes. And so I had to come here immediately and listen to the songs. It's the kind of "crossover" that Mucky Pup and also D.R.I. and also Gang Green and company played back then. And we listened to the material without end. Well - what can I say: this is a really strong album and songwriting is heavy and groovy as shit. Very cool. It would have been great to see Token Entry live on stage in Germany. It is questionable whether they ever toured here in those years.
