I sadly do not have a machine or a place to store a machine right now but I've always had the idea of making a suitcase longboard length and width with compartments for chargers chords skate tool maybe even for weed or other things of that nature and have a styled to each idea Free multi-million dollar idea

our company just bought a vr9, so far very disappointed. Trying to tap a plate with 481 holes, keeps going into z axis encoder fault. Been 8 days no word from Hass tech service yet. Also the coolant flow is terrible. Says the high speed pump should flow at 12 gallons a minute, ours is pumping about 10 gallons in 5 minutes, don't see how we're suppose to use it on a mold when some cavity's we cut out 6 to 8 inches deep. The haas tech is trying to tell us that's how the pressure is on a vr9 5 axis. I noticed when haas shows you how the high pressure coolant pump works they are not using the vr9 in the video.

Sorry to hear that, what city and state are you located in?

@@hfotridentmachinegroup we're in Fountain , Colorado.....haas just told us today the machine is designed for 2 gallons per minute coolant flow which is terrible, not sure how we're gonna make this work. We wanted to see one before we bought this but they said none available in our state. There is 2 of them but you needed security clearance. How do you flush the chips out efficiently?

@@mounta59378 we are the HFO in 14 states, mostly in the Midwest and Northeast, which is why I ask. Have you considered a high-pressure coolant system, like MP Systems? I'm not a service tech, so forgive me if that's not something that would solve the issue, just a thought.

@@hfotridentmachinegroup Haas does sell a higher pressure pump but we were told would be a waste of money because the line coming thru the 5 axis head is only a quarter inch diameter

I worked for Ashland Exploration from 1984-1994 in Ashland, KY. We had several projects in the Martha, KY field reconditioning oil wells and Rampp was very helpful providing specialized tools for this work. Great to see they are still going strong!

I pray for your shop. Alot of things have to go right. Be resilient. Continue to e joy the process. Between Autodesk and Haas, the support will be there. I am in South Florida as well. You can reach out to me if you need anything. We have a VF4 and a Haas cnc lathe (along with other machines)

The Haas CNC is among the most intuitive on the market and is used by many high schools, technical colleges and universities. You can actually take a free online course through Haas if you'd like to get a little more familiar with it. Here's a link to the online certification: www.haascnc.com/myhaas/haas_certification_US.html
