what's ur opinion about epiphone 1960 tribute ?Someone said it is the best epiphone ever.
@yam37lu
@yam37lu 4 ай бұрын
I basically agree. The fret level on these old Epiphones is way better than the new ones. Sound wise I also think that the 1960 has got a better performance than the 2020 Epi 1959. It has the essence of Gibson. And early Epi 1960s had rosewood on them (after 2017 or 2018 they transformed to Pau Ferro), which were more 'historically correct' and had better feeling compared with Indian Laurel. I haven't tried the latest Inspired by Gibson Customshop series, so I cannot made a conclusion between those 1960s and these highly-speced new ones. But these old 1960s just stood out really well.

How is that technique of using you're middle finger to hit the 5th string called? And how should or can I start learning it? Im really into Buckethead, and I learned Magellan's maze (that uses the same technique) but I simply made it work with a lot of speed on my altern picking, I really do wanna learn how to use my middle finger like that
@yam37lu
@yam37lu 5 ай бұрын
Sorry that I don't know what it's called neither.🤣It's a kind of Bucket's unique tech, which are basically very-fast hybrid pickings. Many players use hybrid pickings but not a lot aritists use them that much and fast. You can practice by taking low-speed hybrid pickings, then higher up the speed and mixed with some syncopations and chipchops. Hope this could help you my friend!
@HellTriger009

The technique is called "chicken picking" and originated at country music :)

Sorry I've sold mine and I didn't save it. I only used a Marshall ampsim(JTM or Plexi, it could either be a JCM...sorry that I can't remember quite well), loaded with a Marshall 412 V30 IR from OwnHammer. No boosters or overdrives ahead, and a little bit of delay and hall reverb at last.
