What's interesting about this cloud is that it is at the spot where that object I captured in 2006 exploded and broke up into pieces and fell to the ground. Coincidence? Or did the object hit this spot which caused it to break up?

I see more suspect rocks in my video that need looking at as possible meteor fragments!

I keep looking at that grey rock and it could be a meteor fragment because it has a ridge and potted marks on it like a fusion crust. It's fairly close to trail and I can easily get back and check it out maybe get a sample to test. I put up a pic of it in my community tab.

Actually that circle is probably just the bank of dirt there, but if there was an impact there of whatever plowed down through the trees it would be there had it made it all the way to the ground there and not be hung up and stopped by the trees. It could have been stopped eventually by the trees. You would think those trees would have slowed it down, but whatever it was it had enough velocity and speed to plow through all those trees, and a falling big rock would not have that much kinetic energy, only something coming from the air or space does.
