Do check two things: 1)when you tap on the selection tool,make sure “freehand” is selected at the bottom. 2)Go to ACTIONS(wrench icon), Tap on “Prefs” and at the very bottom,increase the percentage of “Selection mask visibility”. Let me know if this helps.

When I increase the size of the art work it looks blurry can you adjust this in Affinity Designer?
@laurascarfo32404 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for the step by step instructions. Very much appreciated Mrunmayee. Do you do classes on Udemy I don’t like having to pay a subscription on Skillshare.
@createwithmrunmayee4 ай бұрын
Hi Laura.Since these are pixel/raster brushes,therefore you should never change the size of the artwork to make it bigger.You can make it smaller but not larger.Also I would suggest to draw over the stamps to remove the blurred edges.If you are taking it to Affinity by vectorising it then you are good.Make the art bigger,smaller,it doesn’t matter.But if you will keep the art raster/pixel then do as I have suggested.

How could this method be used in Spoonflower? Would you first reduce the motif in Procreate to the size you want to fit a certain product in Spoonflower, being that it is not a repeat -attern?
@createwithmrunmayee5 ай бұрын
Hi, you can use this pattern as is for uploading to Spoonflower. If you follow the exact steps that I am showing in this video,then you will get a seamlessly repeating grid pattern which can be uploaded to spoonflower .Also, you don’t have to reduce the size of the motifs to fit any product as you can adjust the repeat size of your pattern tile in Spoonflower itself.I hope this helps!

Thank you so much! Could you share the steps for exporting a finished Ogee design into photoshop for creating a seamless pattern? When I do it, my design doesn’t “line up” and is not seamless…is there a trick?
@createwithmrunmayee6 ай бұрын
Hi! You can export it as a PSD file from Procreate,open it in Photoshop and use the pattern preview tool to make the pattern. To export from Procreate,go to ‘Share’ and tap on PSD. I hope this answers your question.
@ross2musiclive3955 ай бұрын
@@createwithmrunmayee Thank you SO much for taking the time to reply. Yes, I successfully exported my design in my ogee shape into Photoshop, and created a new 3000x3000 px canvas to place it on, did that, but then when I go to View-Pattern, the edges of the tile don't match up at all. Do you make your procreate ogee template "fit to canvas"? I tried that and it still didn't come out right. Any suggestions?
@createwithmrunmayee5 ай бұрын
@ross2musiclive395 Can you tell if there is any particular reason that you want to take your pattern into photoshop? Also in Procreate, what size of canvas are you using?
@ross2musiclive3955 ай бұрын
@@createwithmrunmayee I made the original procreate canvas 3000x3000 px so they would match. I am attempting to take the design into photoshop and add it to my pattern library and adjust it to upload as a fabric pattern on Spoonflower, as I have some photoshop actions that adjust the sizes Spoonflower requires for turning my patterns into products. I just bought a new iPad two weeks ago and am learning procreate, so if you have a video that would help me be able to do what I need to do solely in procreate, that would be so wonderful! Thank you!

Hi Mrunmayee, when transferring assets or layers to a new canvas if you drop them in your layers panel they will drop in the correct order. I thought you might think this as being helpful. When you drop on the canvas it drops in the opposite order!

Can you help me understand why you would ever use/need the half drop method.. it seems like the full is faster and does the same job..
@createwithmrunmayee10 ай бұрын
Hi Jessica! It is completely personal preference.There is nothing “wrong” in using a full drop/grid repeat. It’s just that sometimes a full drop repeat can be very obvious and the repeat is easily detectable.But a half drop repeat flows perfectly and it’s not very easy to detect the repeating edges of the pattern which makes it great for fabrics and other large surfaces.Having said that, it is completely up to you whether you want to use a full drop or a half drop.
