Last year of speed and heights drumming. After this it was about musically blending and balance instead of playing straight through the head. Well maybe 05 was the last year cause the cadets blew everyone away. 😮

Sound like some silly person trying to disrupt the warmup with that horn

If you wanna hear what kinda music Sean Meltzer ( far right tenor ) was making before this. Search for "A soft heart break beat" From posture with love. He's gotta be one of my all time favorites on the drumset.

Loved this book. An improvement over 2003, imho.

I thought their '03 book was great, but I've come across similar comments to yours and I do not understand the issue with '03. Can you explain?

@@Outlawstar0198 If I rememeber, at the time, people were kind of sick of the Split singles in the snare break. I believe RCC had done it the year prior. In my opinion (apart from the amazing intro), 2003's book was uninspired and bland.

@@Outlawstar0198 I was pretty big into BD then and seeing SCV play Double Beat and their 2003 book just blew me away. SCV really did win 2003 for a lot of us.

Love the shenanigans at the end. The tuning was also one of their best years in that era!

My favorite BD drumlines: 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2006. Those drumlines were practically untouchable!

Fantastic ! Brings back a lot of memories of my son, Sean ( in sunglasses), who played snare with the Impulse. Thank you David for posting it.

Oh nice! I’ve met Sean once. My brother marched Impulse that year he’s the snare on the right end. But yes I used to record some rehearsals and finally uploaded after all these years.
