Disappointed the Bloods missed out on a trip to Gigg Lane, but, for me, the league is all that matters this season. The sooner Droylsden can get up to the NWCL premier, the better. To be playing in a division as we are right now where teams complete 10 or 11 of their 34 fixtures by the end of August is frankly ridiculous. By the time we've played Skem at home this Saturday, we'll only have 11 more home leagues games left and there are still eight months to go before the end of the season! If that isn't plain stupid, I don't know what is. If someone can convince me otherwise, please feel free to try!
