It was around $2250 & meds etc. we thought it would be heaps more! I think we ended up out of pocket $250.

My wife only buys from fixed priced shops, quite a few are fixed at Sanur beach now which she really likes. 120k was enough for those dtesses. An extra $1 is nothing though.

I watch a lot of other you tubers, like Bali life with Richard, Bergsinbali, Gary G and Breathbali, but hadnt seen any of yours before. You cover some great topics in ypur shorts, so thank you, the others don't mention things like buying glasses and getting eye tests. That insight into the hospital stay was an eye opener.

My wife just bought a pr of multifocals here in Australia and they cost her $350 on sale. Last year her glasses were $450 a pr. She wishes she could have held off until our trip to Bali in March 2025. I need reading glasses so I will wait. We are going to check out Wina in Sanur. Thanks so much for those prices, that is very helpful.

We used Grab in Vietnam and loved the app, so we will be using Grab in Bali too. They are so cheap. We were able to add our card so we don't have to worry about having the correct money, but we usually like to leave a small tip in cash.

People dont realise that in Australia its not all bad. Low income earners and those over 67 can get $7.70 prescriptions and free bulk billed Doctors visits, at least we do living in regional NSW. I will remember to take all my meds, thanks for reminding me.

Going to Bali for the first time on September 15 This is my main focus now how to change money . I am bringing Canadian money and a credit card From what I see when I get off the plane I can buy a visa using Canadian cash and will get change in the local currency or use my credit card is that true ? Will the visa office give you a competitive rate similar to airport changers or should I use my credit card ? Thinking if I use Canadian cash the change should be enough to get me a grab car without exchanging money in the airport to get to my hotel the Nevr I prefer to exchange money in the city thinking I will get better rates than at the airport, would appreciate if you have advice for the best place

@bali-days 11 күн бұрын
@@kevbrown1867 hi Kev. Yes you’re right. Pay in your money & they’ll give u rupiah change back or I can pay by c/c. We always pay in cash & use the rupiah for our driver.! Don’t change any other money at the airport. The rate isn’t good ! Have a wonderful holiday 😀
@Baliicon
@Baliicon 11 күн бұрын
@kevbrown1867 Yes they should exchange your money in rupiah. As long as the grab driver can locate you at the airport ok or there is a Bluebird taxi office out the front which are reputable. If you didn’t have enough cash they’ll take you to a money changer and wait for you. If you’re not sure it’s a good enough rate at the time just go small to cover yourself then shop around. Have you tried Wise card rather than credit card?
