I just try to be transparent and genuine. Passing on what information I think maybe useful to someone when they’re making life changing decisions about careers ( military/trucking) I always try to reflect on my personal experience. Might save someone a headache down the road. I just plan on paying off all the bills and keep the rest in savings. Any money from TMC I won’t see that for another year. I wasn’t fully vested, so I think I just get a SMALL portion of that.

I quit Crete earlier this week. They charged me $300 for detailing the truck, and I had cleaned it up myself. I cleaned it when I got it undetailed, and I cleaned it when I gave it back, and they still going to stiff me. Also wouldn’t take back my locks, apparently you buy them on their behalf when you go through orientation. 😂😂 they also refused to reimburse me $220 for fuel after they locked my fuel card and didn’t say anything. There’s a reason these companies get big- they won’t spend a dime if they can force the driver to. Happy to be moved on, gonna take a moment to find a good place. These big companies don’t care about you. You are and always will be a number to them. I want to find a place where they at least care, and won’t leave me stranded somewhere for days without pay. I’m gonna try and work my way out of trucking! Good luck to you ABT!! You and yours too. Excited to see where you end up

What made u leave Crete been here 1 year no complaints so far
@chasedooley62373 күн бұрын
@@fredrick8947 just had a bunch of issues, and I finally got tired of it. Just felt overall that Crete didn’t give a shit about me. Right out of orientation I drive down to Marietta for my truck. Find my truck undetailed with a lot of dirt and pet hair everywhere, missing curtains, missing other stuff, having a broken driver mirror (it was literally hanging on by one bolt), and the truck was past due for PM service. Some other problems too. It took two days for service to get the truck done. I had to rough it without extra clothes and no bedding on the mattress, surrounded by hair and dust and dirt, with no privacy. It sucked. But I got home and cleaned it up and was trying to make the best of it. Truck always smelled weird. And I usually don’t have allergies or wake up congested, but I did frequently in that truck. I hoped that once I got rolling things would get better, and the truck was almost due for retirement anyway, so I’d hopefully get a new one within the year. First month out, first few weeks kind of sucked. Loads weren’t great miles. And I kept sitting 16-18 hours between loads, up to whole days. I knew to keep my PTA updated so they could keep me running, but it always felt like I was an afterthought. They finally ran me over to Wyoming and threw me on the Walmart dedicated there to help out. I liked it a lot because they kept me running great. Even though they didn’t really introduce me to how the walmart fleet does things. Didn’t even know you could get maps to stores, which would’ve prevented a lot of headaches and a (minor) preventable accident delivering to a small walmart store in Denver. I kept reminding the office there that I needed hometime in Colorado to see a sick uncle, and I was almost a week late getting over there. Everyone I had told apparently forgot to get it into the system; the manager there finally got it through. Like I said, an afterthought. But I liked running for them and got the work done. Got home in FL and enjoyed my time off after being out for almost two months. Got my permanent AM. Was feeling good about things, hoping things would be getting better. Time to leave rolls around, and I am getting messages and a phone call to get back to the truck. Felt pretty rushed, but ok. I get to the truck and find they rushed me for a load that didn’t have to be picked up until by midnight, and couldn’t deliver until 0930 the next day, and it was at best, a 4 hour drive up the road. So I got rushed for nothing, just to sit, and I ended up sitting alright. There were no empties at the deland terminal, so I had to wait for one while AM/planning figured something out. Ended up sitting on the yard for 7 hours - I would’ve gone home but had no ride. Finally they sent me to a drop lot in Jacksonville. No empties. By then my clock is shot and I wait there for 16 hours before they tell me to find an empty at the lot that didn’t exist. They finally send me to a rail yard for one. Great. First load of my second time out goes to Houston. Good miles. Make delivery and ended up sitting at a paid-parking truck stop for 38 hours waiting for my next load. Really pissed me off; I felt they had time to find me something, especially for where I was. But again, I was an afterthought. Finally get loads out of there, to OK, then to the Walmart DC in NE which of course billed out early but couldn’t drop early, so I sit for half a day again. Then they assigned me to help out the Walmart fleet there. Alright, fine, hopefully they can run me better. They don’t. 20 hours the first day. 16 hours the next. 18 hours the next, for a freaking 280 mile load. Last day there, I waited 5 hours for a load to bill out late and needed to be off the WM lot in 30 min. Between pretrips, paperwork, and all else, I couldn’t do it and it was late for dock out, and I got a lot of messages, and by the time I got to the office they pulled the load. I tried explaining my frustrations at waiting around all week and all day for these shit loads, and I guess I was getting mad, because they didn’t want to hear it. Next day I got dumped back to national and requested loads home. On the way home, I had to pay out of my pocket to fuel the truck, and they wouldn’t reimburse me. I got home earlier this week. Cleaned out the truck, really cleaned it up better than how I got it. Turn it in at the terminal and they tell me it could be up to $300 in detailing and I won’t get my money back for the fifth wheel lock or pad lock. The company made me feel like an afterthought. They gave me the impression they wouldn’t take care of me. My last company, Tyson Foods, would take of me - I once paid $400 out of my pocket to get a load released from a warehouse. I had no worries about it. Tyson reimbursed me, no questions asked. Crete wouldn’t do that. So all that - that’s why I quit. I’m happy you’re having a good experience there. I wish I did too. I really wanted them to work out, but it wasn’t going to happen
