Please don’t put essential oils in a pagan category. Essential oils are medicinal, just like herbs and teas. Even baby Jesus was gifted with essential oils such as frankincense, which has natural antibacterial properties used on children. Obviously, other ancient civilizations including witches knew and used that too. Well, there were no pharmacists to formulate meds like today, so illnesses were treated naturally. Research Dr Barbara O’Neil. She’s a devoted Christian who uses natural medicine.

Essential oils aren't what I meant, though. Those obviously have the opportunity to work. I was talking about the full-fledged naturalists who deny medicine because of a deep-rooted belief that oils will cure whatever ails them. The worship of essential oils is what I was referring to. The idolizing of them. Not the oils themselves.

Thank you for this video! I loved how you summarized and explained your process. I also really love that you don't have a journaling Bible to study with in this video. I feel like often times I overwhelm myself by having too many notes and it distracts me from God's actual words!

Oh my goodness, if I had a journaling Bible, I'd be stressing myself out trying to fill in the pages! It would definitely take me away from God's word. I totally see where you're coming from!! At the beginning of my Christian journey, I forced myself to write on post-it notes or Bible journal a whole page for every chapter, but I've since stopped because it took me away from the Bible. I pray over you and your heart and in that your heart and spirit be opened, set free from the painful barriers that disconnect you from our Lord, He never abandons us or ignores us, during our disconnected emotions in the meantime he simply guards us when in our most vulnerable times healing us in ways that we can't always feel, but he is always in us. He waits patiently for our healing minds to open up to the moment where we can finally break down those barriers and heal us fully. I have been going through the same experience for a long time and I now know that it wasn't my fault that I felt distant from God and God was also not distant at all, despite the pain ive been in and the warfare painful struggle I've had to accept him into my life and heart, he has been working stitch by stitch within me and my circumstances in so many ways that I couldn't see it for a long time, like those mini mechanisms inside a pocket watch; always in gear tinkering forward yet mostly unseen and unfelt until it's revealed that it was the inner workings the whole time. I pray for your comfort and I speak Jesus' unconditional love and acceptance over you, for you have the light in you and Jesus will always keep your lantern on.. free from shame and free from your insecurities, Jesus already knows you and your heart.

I learned that when I have nothing else to give and nothing else to do in the dark nights and moments where I forget my calling and am overcome with sadness, the only thing I have to do in those moments is cry out to Jesus I just say, "Jesus, please help me" and he will show up for me

Just cry out to GOD and make sure u mean everything u say bc he knows are hearts he knows when u are being real with him or not im not saying ur hearts not right im just trying to give u an example of what i did i cried out to GOD and gave him life and then i found me a bible and began by really reading the new testament the gospels is the best place to start when at the beginning of ur walk but love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and draw near to him and he will draw near to u . There are so many of these on Pinterest if you want to type search "Bible Emergency Numbers," but here are the ones that I chose for myself: When in sorrow... John 14 When men fail you... Psalm 27 When you have sinned... Psalm 51 When you have worry... Matthew 6:19-34 When God feels distant... Psalm 139 When your faith needs stirring... Hebrews 11 When you are lonely and fearful... Psalm 23 When you grow bitter and critical... 1 Corinthians 13 When you want peace and rest... Matthew 11:25-30 When your prayers are selfish... Psalm 67 When you want courage for a task... Joshua 1 If you lose confidence in people... 1 Corinthians 13 If people seem unkind... John 15 Paul's secret to happiness... Colossians 3:12-17 I have since found other verses that I love more and keep in my heart, so I'm debating redoing this entirely. They're easier for me to understand, too! I definitely prefer to read the NIV exclusively, but on some occasions, I do enjoy the verses in KJV, just because there's a little more detail at times. But the NIV totally gets the job done. No complaints here. ❤️

i love your love for the jacob and esau story! one thing that struck me is what a foil they are to cain and able. both brothers, both with one feeling bitterness towards the other, but one a story of destruction and the other a story of restoration. i just love it so much!! it really shows how God can build and heal broken relationships!

You were told the NIV is a "paraphrase" version incorrectly. The NIV is considered a "dynamic" or "functional" equivalent, meaning it's closer to the thought for thought. A paraphrase is really a rephrased meaning for meaning. KJV, ESV, NASB are called "formal" equivalent because they tend more toward the word for word translations. Beware of the false friends of KJV, meaning there are many words you think you know the meaning of, but in Elizabethian English they mean something different. Mark Ward is an excellent resource for this on KZbin. As an example, "study" in the KJV is not like we think of study today. It is often translated as "do your best", or something of that nature, but means "be diligent". Also, you will notice verses in the KJV that are not in your NIV. I think 70 something, off the top of my head. They are not "missing" from the KJV onlyists would say, but instead were add-ons to the texts the KJV was translated from. The NIV uses older manuscripts that do NOT have those verses listed. There are no doctrine that is harmed or missing from the newer translations. Don't worry. The KJV is NOT a direct translation. Their philosophy of translation was to be as word for word as possible, but it tends to hide some of the nuances because the words used are dead or changed meaning today. Instead of KJV, I would suggest NKJV or ESV for more readability. Always use more than one translation. Something between ESV and NIV is the CSB. It's a good translation and I use it frequently for my devotional reading. I study primarily from ESV. It does have a complimentarian lean to it, but I have corrected those sections in accordance with the Greek (it's not many spots). I just subscribed! I rlly enjoyed this video, its very unique!, first off: ur bible has a very original aesthetic to it, i have not seen bibles decorated and journaled in such a way (and ive seen heeps of bible journaling videos, which most of the time feels like copy paste of the same aesthetic ngl, but yours is very unique and i havent seen that elsewhere), and second of all: ur morning with God video is also very unique, usually christian morning routine videos that ive seen only show a small snippet clip of their bible study before cutting to the rest of the video doing mundane activities, but u have ur video entirely about spending time with God through ur Bible study, which is also very unique! Watching this video rlly satisfied my want for a more Bible study feel type morning video, and i absolutely love it!! I hope you can do more in the future ! I have also been on KZbin as a fellow viewer (so fun!) and while I do really enjoy the basic Christian aesthetics, I personally didn't want to hop on the trend with my own. I like to make my inspirational items brightly colored, bold, enthusiastic, and eyecatching because God himself is that way. <3 You'll see that my prayer bible (my most personal bible) is becoming a clutter-core type look. I love it just the same, but it's an entirely different look compared to my main bible. They're both so personal and unique in that way. I simply go with the flow and decorate them how I see fitting. 🥹💜 And addressing the morning with God comment: RIGHT!? I see so many influencers who want to use the Christian hashtag to promote their own typical mornings, but to me, sitting down and reading and crafting and doing anything creative is the truest relationship with God. (This isn't to say that those videos aren't brilliant. They're just a whole different type of feel!) This kind of artsty morning that I do gives me such a feeling of peace. It's genuinely my favorite thing to sit down and do. And I do a lot of stuff... I'd definitely be willing to do more of these morning videos! Brian!!! Thank you so much for reaching out to me with this question! 🙏 Now, I'm not a prophet or a priest or even a knowledgeable seminary student, but I do have an answer! I also struggle with consistency. It's so hard to find the desire to dedicate time to reading and studying, right?? But ultimately, it's not about READING the Bible every day but more about KNOWING God's word and applying it to your life/mindset. If you struggle with sitting yourself down to examine words on paper, I recommend memorizing specific Bible verses. That way, you can repeat them to yourself. That's just the same as reading it! I also want to remind you that the people in Bible times didn't have a physical copy of God's word! Think about the New Testament, and then think about the people in Jesus' time!! They never read a book!! They listened to Jesus teach!! And it was only once a week; not every day! I understand you struggle, my friend. You are not alone in this. I hope this comment might bring you a bit of reassurance and comfort, and God bless you for being able to share! ❤️
