It’s distracting having the transparent overlay of the calipers with the words showing through. Much better after erasing the words with just a white background. Good info for beginners.

Fantastic. Just bought the cheepo stop watch for measuring time during tests and it... beeps when clicking the button! And the beep can't be turned off! Watching this video, five minutes later, I disabled the beep. And I didn't even need fancy electrical tape - I just used silly scotch tape on the buzzer, and it worked perfectly.

For those of you wanting to understand where 0.7854 originates, or Why it is significant, this will help make it more clear. Take a circle and a square that both have the same diameter. Let’s say they both have a diameter of 5 m. This will give the circle an area of 19.635 square meters. The square will have an area of 25 square meters. 19.635 is 78.54% of 25. So in other words, a circle with the same diameter of a square will have 78.54% of the square’s area. Likewise, the circumference of that circle will be equal to 78.54% of that of the square.
