Since legendary is pretty much the best I might playthrough the first 2 on 2nd playthroughs and grind or maybe just grind bl3 till the new one comes out

Any advice on trying to stay into the game to wanna do a playthrough 2? I just really wish I could grind for those weapons and use them in a playthrough where everything is scaled and still have fun but I can beat the game once and probably the dlcs but is the pearlescent grind and the other rarity weapons just like a collection type thing?
