The players of today should take note! They are setting those scrums so fast, no time wasting at all.

Yeh be great to see extended footage of some of the bands sets particularly rifles, died pretty, hard ons meanies mass appeal. Amazing lineup of bands. Some of these bands have very little live footage in the pre smart phone era

My Dad’s favourite player as a seven year old and still spoke about him in his 90’s. Thought he was Daicos like before there was Daicos.

Yeah, it sounds like Des was pretty special. I wish there was more footage than these very brief clips.

Craig davis was a very good player at Collingwood topped there goalkicking 2 or 3 times Kicked almost 90 goals one year, career was cut short suffered a bad injury in 83 Retired at 29 Made a comeback with Sydney 5 years later

@gabrielmichael413 Yep remember him fondly combined with Daicos in ‘81 to form a very dangerous forward line. Smart, skilled, played tall for his height but as you say cut down with injuries.

This man was my idol as a kid. I wore his number 2 and number 1 jumpers. Thanks so much to whoever compiled and uploaded this, Brilliant. So-o-o-o appreciated. Talk 'possession football - before it became a thing. Len gave Collingwood so much possession. Intelligent possession. One of A.F.L.'s pioneering professionals in a semi-professional game that was slowly moving towards professionalism in their time. He and Kevin Sheedy the first V.F.L./A.F.L. 'full-timers'.

Aside from Daniher being baffled, Rance from West Coast 1990 also was in disbelief when Daicos kicked that goal.

I was at Victoria Park on an end of season footy trip the day McKenna kicked 16 against Sth Melbourne. 23-Aug-1969. It was frigid that day. If you stood still you'd freeze in place. I reckon McKenna was just trying to keep warm.

He seemed to have it all. Pace, athleticism, lovely leap and great hands and could kick on both sides of his body. What the hell derailed his career?
