@@robertocontreras-yb5vn Hi Roberto. Yes, she has. Certainly a Lady firmly living the life of a Rock Goddess at 73 years of age. I’ve been following her since the 80’s but only saw them once before, when they supported Fleetwood Mac at Wembley Stadium UK in 2019. They were a long way away that night so it was good to see them again in a much smaller Theatre setting. Glad you enjoyed watching. Lisa

My friend and I went to see The Pretenders on 4/20/1984. Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Alarm opened for them at the College of William and Mary, Newport News, Virginia. It really blew my mind. I try to tell all my kids and anyone who cares to listen. It's never the same.

@@ramelak1635 That is, indeed, The current incarnation of The Pretenders headed up by Chrissie Hynde. They were great. Nice, simple setting, nothing flashy just good rock n roll. As Chrissie says at the start of one of the 4 I’ve post, “two guitars, bass and drums, if you can’t say it with that, go home”!

I love this interpretation so much. She brings something to this song that the original failed to do. She sings it in such a way that the meaning of the words just hits home - like the original never did. Brilliant voice. Brilliant interpretation. True talent.

I love it to Janet. I know Mari quite well & this is a song she really wrench’s the heart strings with. It’s slower pace allows you to concentrate on every word & when she sings “And I can never, never, never, go home again” it really tears at your heart strings. It was a wonderful night, one of the most intimate & atmospheric gigs we’ve been too. As you can see, we were right at the front on the left, actually leaning on the stage. Glad you enjoyed it too & this little video. ❤️

I’ve seen Goldfrapp 24 times & Alison solo twice and Strictly Machine has been played at all of those gigs (once twice at the Razzamatazz Club in Barcelona) and this was as good as any of them. Not as long a version as some I have seen but still very powerful.

I just film what’s presented T. The crowd inside the hall loved it but she did come on very late (9.52pm) and the concert did not finish until 00.20am, by which time the trains had stopped. 😤 The night before she was even later and finished at 00.40.
