The problem I'm having is no matter how tight the screw is, the head remains loose and wobbly. I've watched dozens of videos and everyone just assumes that tightening the screw will resolve this problem, but there seems to be another issue causing it to remain loose.

My LCD display was damages as well. Ordered replacement on ebay, replaced it according to the great video here but display seems to be stuck on start screen (Wlan connection sign), even w/o battery now. Any tipps?

In the middle of the base is small hole. I suppose this is vent valve. I covered this hole with small piece of masking tape before I used glue.

Great video, I was able to use it to repair my brush. Do you happen to know what the white ring at the end of the brush is for? In my case the cable is simply loose, is this normal or should it be connected to the circuit board

Thank you! I used more of a brute force method 😂 but got it open and the entire screw was loose just rattling around in the tube. Fixed it and works perfect. Incredible that they probably intentionally designed it to come loose after so many uses and don’t make it very accessible to fix. For $160+ they need to do better! Appreciate the vid!

I had the same problem with a Cressi Giotto. After many hours, I managed to get the screen to display the information again. What I did was the System-Reset procedure, even with the screen blank. I put in the new battery, waited a few seconds. I pressed the buttons in the order to perform the System-Reset, according to the manual. After finishing, I waited a few minutes until I heard a beep. The screen remained blank. So I removed the battery and put it back in. The screen returned to normal.

Which model is this? It looks very different from my QP1424, which is skinnier, and the case is only one color.

I fixed two toothbrushes with this technique. Thank you for the video. My first attempt was with an older toothbrush base. I misunderstood and went for the closer white brackets, removing the inside piece at the bottom, severing a small ribbon cable that seemed to be previously soldered to a board just above. I got it all back together and it works fine, but I don’t know what that ribbon cable was for. It charges and works fine. With the newer base, I was more careful and knew what brackets to go for. After reassembly, I was able to get all glue off by prying with a small screwdriver. The newer base was too smooth for the glue, so I used a nail file to slightly roughen the edges of the bottom, so the glue would stick.
