Hi! Thank you for your video. I liked the idea of the cancellation fee. I usually have a no-refund policy because it is normal for people to change their minds once they find out there is work to be done. I just tell them that that is why they pay so that they can't slide away. But I need to give clients the option to opt out. What do you think about 40% or 50% of the cancellation fee?

Since current AI generates its images and text by scraping the internet and grabbing copyright-protected elements, it makes sense the results would not be protected for the generator. Once AI improves or makes deals with image sites (like Dall-e did with Getty), this ruling could change. Interesting times!

Hello I have a question. I am writing a blog and I am writing about strategies and tipps regarding love, work ethics, marriages etc. I am using celebrities as examples and I would like to add some pictures from them to the blog. Am I allowed to do that? I am not earning any money from it and i am not criticising the celebrities. I am confused about the rules here. I am taking the images from google and pinterest.

Do you deal with falsified cease and Desist letters involving harassment? By falsified I mean a bullet list of activities that a person never did such as phone calls, texts, leaving voicemails, etc

This is a great question and a common misconception! Copyright rules still apply to nonprofits, schools and churches.

Answer: no,animals and robots cannot have their work protected because this already happened when PETA tried suing the photographer but it was ruled that animals can’t own copyright

Thanks that’s clear to understand when the entire piece of work is ai generated. However, what is the ruling when it is part ai and part not ai. 2 examples: An ai generated image used as a background with non-ai generated text on top covering most of the image. Example 2 : an ai generated portrait of King Henry VIII, that has had the head&neck replaced with a model shot in Photoshop by the same person who created the prompt for the main image. Basically what constitutes enough of a change for it to be copyright-able? Thanks

Great question! Anything created by AI would fall under this "not-protectable-under-US-copyright-law" umbrella. But other content (the text covering most of the image, the portrait, the prompt) is protectable, to the extent it's 1) original and 2) sufficiently "creative." There are parameters around the amount of text that can be protectable under copyright law, so with your specific example would depend on the length of the text covering the image. (Short phrases aren't "creative" enough per US copyright law.) In an application for copyright registration of something created *partially* with AI, you'd have to disclose what exactly was created by AI. Hope that helps!

That's a great question. Your prompt can literally be ANYTHING -- some people enter entire blog posts as prompts and ask the platform to, say, turn it into 3 instagram captions (or repurpose it somehow). The answer really comes down to what the prompt really is, and how detailed or creative it is.

Can i post this ? Ohhh boy ! I thought all do this..how to we write our permission sheets to send all of these sites in otherwords wouldn't that end all fix your computer shops ? So what do we say at those shops, now ? Ohhh my goodness what a lot of backtracking everywhere we go. We need a quick and short verse to recite..as in the Bible...which now i get the Bible a lot better, out here, such as being a child of God...and claiming his name..etc. I finally get this.
