God I love how much passion Jermaine puts into singing smile EVERY SINGLE TIME, I can’t imagine singing a tribute for my lil brother who passed.

Best UK Hip Hop artist 1997? I agree. Good album. But not including the USA in 1997 for so many reasons. Where do I even begin? I could start and end with the *Notorious BIG* "Life After Death" album but let me continue with *Busta Rhymes* (When Disaster Strikes *Dangerous*, *Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See* ), KRS One ( *Step Into A World* from I Got Next LP), LL Cool J (Phenomenon LP *4,3,2,1* ), Jay Z - In My Lifetime vol 1 ( *Imaginary Players* ). Funky DL was nowhere near on their level, lyrically or musically but for the UK, yes I'd say his album was the best.........by far. Oh! I almost forgot. O.C - Jewelz (1997) album produced by DJ Premier which included " *Far From Yours* " & " *My World* ". Like all awards the MOBO is just politics...... which pretty much makes them meaningless....and don't force me to mention the legendary Rakim who released an album in 1997 - "The 18th Letter" with the classics *Guess Who's Back* and *It's Been A Long Time* lol
