Can you tell me how to adjust the mower deck height on the m60 tank
@Dragracer64Ай бұрын
The handle on the right raises and lowers it. There is a bolt that serves as a stop. You can move that bolt to one of the many different holes to set the desired height.

Hey! Great video. Just changes the fluids in my 641 Workmaster. Same fill, check and drain areas. I did notice, you don’t have an air cleaner/oil bath. You really don’t want trash to gum up the carb and mess up the engine, especially when you’re bush hogging. Great video!

For future reference to those who have to do this in the future, most auto part stores sell sets of "stubby" open/boxed end wrenches that come in hand for these types of jobs where longer wrenches just don't work.. I bought a set of these from O'Reilly auto parts years ago and they've come in handy many times. I did this recently with my 601 Workmaster.

I recently changed to a 15/40 diesel oil on a warmed up 521. I was having oil starvation issues with my front sump Lincoln MkV application. Pulled the engine and changed to a baffled pan (6 qt) and dual stage M48 B pump. My .010 under crank and rod bearings were scored to a degree, but not enough In my opinion to change out since it was actually impossible to find replacements. Put it back together, and back in the car. My oil pressure after the change is 75 cold, and 30 psi hot idle with 5/30. And no starvation under WOT. Changed the 5/30 out the other day and went with 15/40, and have seen better numbers by 5 psi. Prolly not ideal, but good enough psi for a street sleeper?

Thanks for sharing, can see you know your job very well. I rebuilt a few Toploaders, but today start to work on a Ford C6. Bought a Pionneer kit 753010. I found in the drums 2 times 3 friction disks, in the kit I have 5 disks same colours, and 5 more yellow friction ones. I saw in your video you have a few disks the same, and you had 2 red ones. What are those different colours disks ?
@manu646464645 ай бұрын
Well, I found out, I probably forgot to open my eyes while opening the 2 drums. First I have 3 friction disks space, then, I saw where they go, first drum, where the band goes, are the heavy friction disks, then the second drum the low friction ones (yellow). Anyway, your videos are really great and helpfull, many thanks.

I just bought a Ryobi inflator, because I have a lot of their tools and batteries. They work for me, and don't give me problems. The only thing I don't like about it is that it goes only in 5-pound increments. But it's dead simple to operate, and I expect to have it for a long time. I hope this Summit one does what you want it to do for years to come. All the best to you, and Happy Easter.

Not a suspension kit. I fabricated the front clip, with stock Mustang 2 control arms mounted on it. Also made my own stabilizer links. I did that 24 years ago.The brake kit is a light weight kit that fits pinto/mustang 2 spindles. I would like to change to tubular arms and control arm someday. Thanks for watching.

What did the engine dyno at??
@Dragracer647 ай бұрын
I don't do dyno's. This is a street engine which means it will do an occasional burnout in a remote area. Or just cruising through a car show. No need to dyno that. My 64 Fairlane gets tested and tuned at a drag strip.

Wow, 11 years ago. I guess I’m late to the party but if you’re still hanging around I’m curious about the heat now that there’s no shield on there. Did you run into any issues with that or did you do something about it? Because wrapping it after it’s installed seems almost impossible but it’s the only way to do it since it’s a two piece and the back of the be trans and the front of the floorboard are both really bad places to transfer as much radiant heat into as that exhaust must make. If anyone has done it any input would be much appreciated thanks. Side note: I know this job has long since passed but for future reference in case you need it I always use bbq paint on my exhaust and other things in my engine bay because it’s a lot cheaper and a little more durable than the automotive stuff. They can withstand more heat and the adhesive hardeners are grease and oil resistant.
@Dragracer645 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late response. No heat issues. I use this truck to pull my 28 ft enclosed trailer through the summer months almost every weekend and it does the job just fine. Back when it had the stock down pipe and exhaust the floor would get warm with the heat shield in place. I guess less back pressure makes less heat .

Yes they end bracket racing in November here locally. Which doesn't bother me , it gives me time to enjoy other projects. Some drag racers seem to like drag cars only.I like having a variety of different projects going on. Which is why I am not at the track every time the gates open like I did when I was younger.

What's with the drilled holes in the direct drum? I haven't seen that mod anywhere else? band cooling?
@Dragracer649 ай бұрын
That serves two purposes. It gives the band more lubrication, and it gives the fluid somewhere to escape when the clutches in the direct drum are applied by the piston. Which is supposed to help make the transmission shift faster, and firmer.

429 PI out of a 72 police car. It is 4 bolt main but came with PI heads when I bought the engine. It currently has aluminum pro comp heads. I had these on a mild 500 HP Chrysler 440 and they really killed the power down and eventually split on the seams so I took them off and went with some welded 2 chamber Flow masters in a 3 inch and problem solved . They aren't terrible loud when ideling and regular driving but once you get on it hard then they roar and sound so much better than glass packs or turbo mufflers.
