So, if the very first thing that happens is time running slowly for parts of the ship, but you NEED to be awake the entire time you’re “Outside.”… Does this mean crews regularly have to deal with staying awake for weeks or months at a time? Presumably lots of stimulants are involved. Also, how do they know the third level of breakdown is mathematics, if it makes it impossible for a ship to navigate back “inside” and the pilot may not even be capable of flying at that point? Did they use an ansible, up until the binary code for running computers stopped working?

It’s crew perhaps fused into the ships very existence or even physical construction, all aware and simultaneously insane, warped into a tortured, psychotic, impossible existence and lashing out or trying to take with it a new crew to add to it’s collected minds

While the potential for Space Hell shenanigans aren’t out of the possibility, I like the juxtaposition of The Outside as an even more Outer Space version of Outer Space. The hard vacuum of space is something biological life cannot exist in, has insufficient oxygen and pressure to sustain organic processes, and even just recreating them in a null gravitational field has severe effects on organisms existing in it long term. The Outside poses that harsh, impossible condition onto the very mental identity of the living beings. In Space, physical life cannot exist. In Outside, psychological life cannot exist. I’d ask how the human crew copes given known and well documented limitations on the human form’s ability to perform tasks given certain amounts of sleep deprivation. After 36 hours of no sleep, the human body starts having “micro sleep” episodes of 1-30 second periods of being asleep, experience cognitive impairment when intaking and reacting to new information, and have poorer abilities to fulfill tasks. At stage 3, 48 hours of no sleep, you experience outright hallucinations and have difficulty communicating. In other words, the human crew will experience the same symptoms of sleeping when staying awake long enough, and thus cause the ship to be lost. But I have the feeling that the leadership either overcomes this by drugging the crew without much regard for long term health, or just plans to come up just before the crew hits the 36 hour mark.

In my opinion, music makes or breaks any show or movie. An amazing film with bad music is ruined and an average show can be made outstanding with music. You choosing Legio Symphonica was a fantastic move. Amazing sound production to go with amazing animation, this can only keep getting better. I love you guys.

i am somehow hooked with this setting. I am browsing Space Marine Proxies that look like the Barrakan. I especially fell in love with the "Legion" shown here. Division 14 looks alot like the Pre-Heresy and Pre-Primarch Dusk Raiders.
