Nice little diminished lesson. A greaf exercise for warming up and, of course, a great exercise for beginner players learning how to sweep + move around the diminished scale

You're pretty decent. I might find your lessons useful sometimes from what I have seen so far. Your lessons are sort of all over the place but I can follow.

Nice and clean, good job on those sweeps! I like how you seem to use the rusty cooley / Chris Storey sweeping style. Also reminiscent of Jason Richardsons arpeggio style! ❤

Gotta slow it down.... Sounds counter-intuitive, but that's the name of the game in learning new techniques! Speed comes from a long ass time spent playing slow to a metronome. Also, check out. Troy Gradys series "Cracking the Code" (even the free version by using the videos on his channel) It will help you learn more and really understand shred techniques

Challenging? Try 'forty ouncer' Polyphia. Any song by 'polyphia' is challenging. 'Classical Dragon' At 2O sec after the intro Tims 'right hand' techniques 'flamenco' possibly modern flamenco. Although its hard to say 'flamenco player's might have done in the past. Unlimited right hand techniques are absolutely terrifying. Elite eighties shredders tremble in fear. Fastfret gymnastics. Olympus Agony of defeat!

Try and learn - Serannna by Jason Becker If you need a lesson/tabs, I can throw up a video on my channel unless you already know that song! I do have the exact tablature for the song. The sweeps are just insanely fast, and some require some pretty advance string skipping in a little bit of the diminished sequences It's probably one of the hardest to get super clean, that and Tendinitis from jason Richardson. Also, Rings of Saturn has some really hard songs too! Rock on, dude 🤘

hey man thanks for posting this awesome video, been practicing this for a while now. still struggling with the descending movement, the one starting on the pinky and pulling off to other fingers and moving back down the strings. finding it difficult to get the notes to ring clearly. any advice on how to practice those parts? The hammer-ons are straightforward, but struggling with the pull-offs basically

Recently I created a 20 minute workout for myself in which I've started to use my pinky finger a little more, I've noticed my pinky finger can hurt, is this to be expected as I've not really used it much?

Depends on how much it hurts Sounds like you could be over doing it & playing too hard Try lowering your hand, straightening out your fingers & relaxing more 🔥
