What? Was the child who plugged his ears American? I assume so because I would have crawled into a sleeping bag and never came out. Hey free body bag.

An alternative version I've heard of the Rockefeller legend is that one of the Rockefellers wanted to show off how wealthy he was and hence asked the chef to invent such a dish for him. The chef specifically chose spinach for its bright green colour to represent money, perhaps so that it would literally look like money being delivered to patrons every time it was ordered. After which everyone who then ordered the dish would associate this dish that looked like money with the name Rockefeller, forever cementing this name with the association of money and luxury.

So, it's a bioweapon. I knew there was something wrong with Sweden. No country is perfect. I want to leave an unopened can of this on a hotplate in my HR director's office.

It's also remarkable that no one figured out that you could put condiment on your bread before some rich asshole did it. That's why they where the elite

Do you find any connection with Bernays’ capitalist revolution revolving around the use of bacon and his encouragement of a fuller American breakfast during the early 1920s-30s to the popularity of the English breakfast that you place near the same time?

Surströming is not supposed to be eaten raw, just like you would not chuck pure worcestershire sauce, it has a strong taste, it is supposed to be eaten with midly flavoured carbas like bread and potatoes to which it gives flavour. So it is more like a sauce in solid form, that something to be eaten on itst own.

No such thing as an English breakfast, it is a cooked breakfast and known all over the world as that. The English want to take possession of everything, including the British language. The so called English breakfast came into the language when the English started to go to France in the 60's and found the French did not have the same breakfast, now called the Continental breakfast. An Aussie in the outback having bacon and eggs is not saying to himself this English breakfast is great as he watches the cricket match against the Poms !

It’s not the British language. It’s the English language. The Scottish and Welsh have their own language and yes, the full English is a traditional English dish that gone around the world because the British took it with them.

The Magnacarter and the Declaration of Arbroath were written in Latin as was the Bible, that is the origin of the British Language. Gaelic is a from the Vikings and only in regions just like Cornish and Bretton that died out. Why is the Bank of England the bank of the United Kingdom, even when it was founded by a Scotsman, its because of the English attitude? @@dee2251

Risotto is the love of my life. I caramelize onions in butter and olive oil, I add arborio rice. For a short time, I fry the rice and onions with garlic powder, onion powder, parsely, chicken bouillon powder, followed by a a powdered mix of oregano, tumeric, and extra garlic. I then add chicken bone broth bit by bit until the starches are released and the rice softens. Toward the end, I add spinach and chopped bell peppers, then I let it cook for 5-10 more minutes for it all to soften. Then I finish it off with a generous amount of parmigiano-reggiano. Then, it's gooey, delicious, salty, savoury umami heaven in my mouth.

Very good! I see you ve fallen in love withthe process. Just a sugestion: add pepper or chilli to the turmeric, finish with butter ir ghee instead of cheese (you can add cheese or roasted cashews later) And my billion $ secret: use soy sauce to deglaze instead of salt.

In Australia, pubs traditionally serve a fry-up as a dinner (sometimes breakfast/lunch) menu option. It’s the basic English breakfast without the black pudding, but may have other items included such as lamb chops, a piece of steak or ham steak, hash browns or chips, or both fried and scrambled eggs. If anybody hasn’t heard of this, you’re welcome!
