Great video. We have a couple Red Spider Lilies (Lycoris radiata) growing toward the back of the property. They always surprise me when the blooms pop up in September because I'm just not used to seeing lilies bloom after spring. One of their nicknames is Surprise Lily. I haven't seen any others growing in the wild here so I ordered 10 bulbs from Southern Bulb Co. along with a couple Electric Blue Spider Lilies (Lycoris sprengeri). It's a test of patience because most often Spider Lily blooms don't appear until their 2nd year in the ground. Naked Lady Lily (Lycoris squamigera) is actually a different variety, though it is in the same family. Do you have any of the yellow or white varieties growing wild where you are?
@frugalmanoutdoors2 күн бұрын
@@MississippiKitten naked ladies are mostly referring to the pink ones. I haven't seen white or yellow ones here. Some people refer to the white and yellow flowers that pop up in early spring as Easter lilies but they are actually daffodils. I'm hoping to collect more flowers from the wild and transfer them to our place.
