i’ve been getting aloud clunk/rattle too right behind my wheel and was thinking it was the shaft itself! Didn’t know there was a bearing there. gonna get under there and check if that’s wha the clank is coming from! I was worried it was steering component related

@@Garage_Beers No, if you are having a steering issue, Diesel Addiction has a nice upgraded steering box that may be worth a try.

Turn your wheel once you put the bolt back in and the seatbelt off.

What is your air and fuel setup? Getting into sled pulling next season. I have a 06 duramax. 100overs 14mm cp3 68vgt in the valley sxe488 out front and built motor.

I just tried to do the bearing and intermediate shaft the other day and COULD NOT get the shaft loose. I got mad and gave up 😂 I’ll try again and take the pedal out and use a pry bar to get the shaft out. I couldn’t budge it by hand.

Just to let you know. I have a 2017 ultra limited. I had the fairing and passenger speakers installed. Next week. I will be getting the lid speakers installed.

I stick with the OE style bearing personally on all of my trucks. OEM one lasted nearly 20 years, a replacement $20 factory style one will likely last just as long.

Have a lbz myself, can’t believe that stock y bridge didn’t blow apart at 900 hp, I blow mine out at 530 hp, what turbo size, and what are you running for fuel ?!

Yeah, that’s for the rules. I need to have an upward facing exhaust for the smoke, so I throw that on there cause I don’t plan on putting a stack.

I have one waiting to be installed. Forgot how easy to was. I recently had replaced with the dorman part and the intermediate shaft. Shouldn’t take long just replacing the bearing.
