Thanks for commenting. The point of the video is less about dating apps than them being a representation of how our modern dating world functions. Then, I don’t know what to say: I have used dating apps for 1 year and a half maybe, with inconsistency, but my experience has almost always been real. I have met real people in real life (and I am very intentional. I match with very few then I don’t spend time in messaging I turn every message into a date). Did I get scammed? Yes, once. Also one Tinder date told me his story that there were a lot of prostitutes on Tinder. But I also know too many people (either personally or through testimonials) that met their spouse on it. So I guess everyone’s experience is different, and maybe it’s more difficult for men than for women.

They have no problem with my age, only white women do under the age of 50. I am white, but I don't care about race. I'm not racist. For men it's tougher because the women expect us to come to their country to meet them, which isn't cheap. I'm your average guy (retired) which isn't in the top 3 percent of high-profile men making 6 figures. I have found love, twice, and it lasted years in both cases so the app did its job, although I believe you have to be realistic with expectations, and that not everybody is relationship material, or even hookup material.

I found two good matches, and it's indeed a struggle if I look at time: it took almost at least two years each before I found relationship material. I turned out picky because I am an introvert who mostly likes things outside the mainstream, nothing special, it's just clicking with people and finding things in common is kinda hard, most of the times I can't go anywhere beyond small talk.
