OMG, how I miss anthology shows like this. McDowall gave one of his best performances and the production values were superb. Thanks for posting it. London-born and Emmy-winning Roddy McDowall (Robert "Professor" Benson) was 35 years old here. He started his over-five-decade acting career when he was ten years old and appeared in hundreds of productions until his death in 1998 at the age of 70. The story was penned by prolific writer/producer Dean Hargrove. His wife, Brenda Scott, coincidentally appeared in the Kraft Suspense Theater episode "Who Is Jennifer?" They married in 1979, 16 years after this, and are still with us and married today in 2024.

It's always interesting to see TV vets like Richard Long and Martin Milner acting together. Just the other day, I watched an "M Squad" episode with Lee Marvin, James Coburn and Leonard Nimoy.

Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the episode. This series is a great example of the quality television that Hollywood could produce back in the day. We need more quality scripts, story lines, acting, and direction in the shows that are being produced today

Shooting night scenes during the daytime and using filters and masking to simulate nighttime has been done since the beginning of Motion Pictures and film when there was a shortage of lighting and most scenes had to be filmed in the bright sunshine. It does seem that they still haven't gotten this down to where it looks good

A grim, nail-biting episode, but I'm glad I saw it. Seems to feature jumbled messages and POVs. Don't like the title -- more like The Terrible Tweenagers. Mom is not, thank God, "cured" of her Second Amendment passions and the old lady isn't really turned into an eeeeeviil notzeee. Still it feels like that's what the producers are itching to do. Hollywood!

Thanks for posting these! I love that Johnny Williams score! Jack Lord ("Paul") was 44 here. This was made a year after his "Stoney Burke" role and three years before he became "Steve McGarrett" in "Hawaii Five-O." Ten years after that, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and died in 1998 at 77 years of age. Andrew Prine ("Chris") was 28 here. He was a prolific award-winning actor in hundreds of stage, movie and television productions over his six-decade career including two episodes of "Hawaii Five-O." He played recurring characters in "Weird Science," "Wide Country" and "The Road West." He died in 2022 at 87 years of age. Broderick Crawford ("Pop") was 53 here. This was five years after his role as "Dan Matthews" in the syndicated TV series "Highway Patrol." He won an Oscar for his role as "Willie Stark" in the 1949 movie "All the King's Men." He was working right up to his death in 1986 at the age of 74. Lisabeth Hush ("Dorothy") was 30 here. She appeared in a few dozen productions, mostly in the 60's and 70's. She married actor Sam Gilman, 19 years her senior, the year before this episode was made. She died in 2021 at the age of 86.

This was a masterpiece! Hollywood could not put together the quality and suspense in this made for TV show today if they spent $250 million. I think most of us that watch the older movies and shows no this to be true. Hollywood puts out nothing but garbage they no longer focus on quality for their customers. Hollywood focuses on politics woke ideology, making sure no black woman is married to a black man no black man is married to a black woman which I find incredibly offensive to black Americans. Their movies are more like political commercials than movies, the casting is all wrong. They put women in roles that should be played by men, they stick actors in not based on their acting ability solely based on the color of their skin or their sexual preferences. And if you are an amazing, great actor and happen to be a conservative, they put you in the unemployment line. Is it any wonder Hollywood is going down the tubes to anyone other than the people destroying it? I don’t care because there is literally 80 years of movies and television shows of good quality prior to Hollywood destroying the product they put out.

I remember when i was a child of about 6 or 7 years old, my parents would watch this on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and whenever id hear the theme music, id run in from my room thinking it was a scary movie or something because of the theme music. I was disappointed. But now i love watching these episodes.
