If she deaged to her 1999 self, it doesn't make sense that she thought it was a prank as she'd notice that she looks much younger given that it was 25 years ago. If she's the same age as her 2024 self, then she'd have been a child in 1999 but the promo implies she was an adult with a past love in 1999.

Full disclosure. I am a giant Scrooge. I look forward to the Christmas season with dread. I am the kind of person who cheers for The Grinch. And Christmas movies, with a few exceptions (Die Hard, A Christmas Story, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation) make me cringe. But in all honesty, this actually looks like it might be halfway decent.

I couldn’t finish this movie. The guy was extremely annoying and rude. He co inherits a house (because he was the owners handyman, nothing more) with the owners grandson. He is not family, wants to get his way, is not listening to the other owner (who, again, happens to be blood related to the dead owner). Doesn’t want to listen to the female lead, who has experience that he doesn’t have in making a house look good. He has awful taste (she wants to paint the inside in a beige color, he wants it “red to be more festive 🙄). I stopped watching it, the dude was insufferable. I know what’s going to probably happen, he miraculously will become nice and less irritating and everyone will probably end up agreeing with his stupid vision for the house.
