I have 3. They are mostly quiet unless there is a predator close by then they go into full alert. When they alarm, my German Shepherd responds quickly. Most of the time it is a stray dog or coyote. Honestly my ducks are more obnoxious and loud.

I have guinea fowls and I love them. I prefer them over chickens.
