Just beautiful. I am moving to Fairlee just for this lake. I can' wait for summer open water swimming and winter ice skating. I love it.

Great video with great music. Glad I found it. The Owls Head trail and camping ground is one of my many favorites in VT. I sat on the rock formation with Lola the Jack Russell, my trail partner. We just took in the view and "chilled". Good for the soul. P.S. After 15 1/2 years of being my partner I had to say goodbye to Lola on Feb 20, 2022.

@RoadLessTraveledVL4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tishmeister, it took us a little over an hour, but we had kids on our backs. My understanding is that it’s possible to do it in 45 minutes. Enjoy it! Views are stunning. There’s an alternative route that’s less steep, but we weren’t sure where it starts.

How I miss the White Mountains!!! I was last there in 2011. When I grew up (in the Hartford area), a trip to the White Mountains was a yearly ritual. We would stay in the Lincoln area. During my adult years, I preferred to stay in a cabin motel in Twin Mountain. In 1995, when I traveled from Connecticut to Québec City, I stopped in Twin Mountain. After supper in Bethlehem, I could hardly stay awake--it was the mountain air. I slept like a log! Then it was on to Québec via Route 3 and the Connecticut Lakes.
