First off if you were released from prison one day and woke up in your old room the next morning and you haven’t forgiven your parents, how does that work? If you are going to become a writer get your facts about the justice system right. You don’t automatically get charges dropped by the judge it usually being granted a new trial, even if some miracle happened and charges would of been dropped you would still have to go back to the prison to be officially released you would never get to just walk out. Also why wasn’t she charged with false reports and perjury? All of this just doesn’t make sense.

I can relate. Im a closed off person and my partner's family took a long time to accept that i wasnt being cruel to their daughter.
