I notice this happens to me if I eat too much processed food. It takes a few days to a week to go back to normal.

Actual case of "cortisol face" here. Was on Fludrocortisone, a steroid to help with my blood volume with POTS. Gained 60lbs fast and developed moon face. I am unrecognizeable. Seeing people with normal faces complaining that they have "cortisol face" makes me so sad.

Now that you've said it I've noticed all the times my face has become abnormally puffy was when I was experiencing high levels of stress and in turn would diminish my appetite 😬

Society is obsessed with looks. Cut down on social media usage and you’ll stop noticing these microscopic things

You don’t have cortisol consistently elevated enough to cause moon face. If so, you’d have a variety of other symptoms and would likely be visiting the doctor. Cortisol wohld have to be prolonged and sustained to puff up and stay like that. If you are puffy and stressed, it’s because of weight gain, carb intake, lack of sleep, lack of water, water retention and general inflammation from the stress itself. Not from cortisol. Cortisol spikes temporarily all throughout the day, every day of our life. It wouldn’t be enough to cause “cortisol face” unless you had a legitimate disease.

Ok but how do i stop being stressed lol life is stressful and i hate living it. Changing my mentality does nothing when the problems are the same. People being disrespectful and when i stand up for myself i could lose my social standing. Not having enough money to live only to survive. Not wanting to get out of bed. Socialzing being a chore. I d9nt understand how not to be stressed lmao

I have Addison’s disease and therefore will be on synthetic hormones for the rest of my life. Dosage of hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone is such a juggling act. Too little you feel sick all the time, and too much gets side effects such as”moon face”.

Stop using chapstick. They make your lips worse ao you buy more. I have soft lips and injust use a lip oul usually or carmex.

@Bulmachan22417 күн бұрын
@@totallynameless8861 yes most lip balms have something in it to create a drying affect. I forget the ingredient though. That way you need to keep applying.

"There's nothing worse than chapped lips" 😄😄
@SuperRuksaar18 күн бұрын
Who have chapped lips know once we apply anything the skin becomes soft and that is worst. Just scrub lips with a old brush back side that removes death skin and makes your lips soft then apply any lip care that works for you. Doesn't have to be so many steps as per video.
