A tip of the hat to the boys, Terry Gilkyson and the Sherman brothers, and the arranger, whoever it may be.

Sax Quartets are awesome, but something about sax quintets are just so much more awesome. Frees up the Bari for more melodic stuff, plus the deep bellow of the bass adds so much

when I went to Disney years back these guys were who I looked for every day. I bought a bass sax after hearing them and to this day still perform with it. They were always fantastic. The sound of that vintage bass is unmistakable.

Am a huge fan of voices and have been going through a lot of the old stuff and was really amazed at your brother! Can you please tell how he passed away? He seemed so young in this!

No it's just Disney is a shell of what if used to be. Disney used to represent tradition too, now it's just a guide for vacations, and modern moving on from the past mindsets. The fella playing the Bass saxophone is Scott Devlin, he is definitely alive.

Woody Herman Bari Saxist Extraordinairre (and Road Manager) Mike Brignola sent me this, and told me that the Bass Sax man is Dave MacKenzie. This is great! DaveM: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKeXaYJ3hc-lraM

Hey there! I’m not sure if this is Dave playing the bass sax in this video. It looks more like Scott Devlin and sounds more like Scott Devlin’s voice to me. I took lessons with him for years.

DAUGHTER:MOM CAN WE HAVE ODIE FROM GARFIELD MOM:WE HAVE ODIE AT HOME THE ODIE AT HOME:
Disney hired professional (Union) musicians at Disneyland and Disney World from the very beginning to entertain guests. Groups were organized around one of the movies' characters and costumes fit that theme. A great arrangement of the original 1947 Woody Herman big band song - four brothers plus a bass sax to provide backing rhythm. The original sax section called for three tenors and a bari.

Such an amazing performance, everything has a perfect balance, and there isn’t a moment when anyone is out of tune. It’s a shame it has such a small amount of views. This might be the best barbershop I’ve ever heard
