this is late but i just found this out if you dont have the oculus abd drivers installed link cable wont work (i upgraded my os and forgot to reinstall drivers and didnt know what was happening so i came here thought this little bit of information might help for thoes who dont know about the drivers)

Physicist here. In moderation, it's ok. Long periods, it is not. If you can plug your VR in to gain internet access, then do it. It helps lower the radiation.

I just encountered this issue yesterday. I went as far as removing the headset but I'll try it once more time as i prefer it to the quest 2 for racing cars.

I was accused of being under age. They asked me to show me my id but i dont trust meta so i got suspended. I will try to factory reset my headset.

When i plug the cable in a pop up shows up that says, "click on this notification." then when i do that on my pc it tells me "pick what you choose to do with this device" and i dont know what to click.

So the information needed is in the first 2 minutes, the rest is just getting on a soap box and rambling about personal opinion. Nobody cares if you hate the controllers. Some people can only afford something like this to get into VR, so why are you going on a nearly 8 minute ramble? TLDR: If you want a cheap headset to get into VR and the price is right, it is a good purchase.

you 1000000% WONT get banned if you rookie sideload single player games while you enable developer mode . now you will get 1000000000% banned if you , play multiplayer oculus games and you enable mods to achieve advantage over other users , let me repeat that you will get banned if you mod the game to have advantage over other players while playing online , you can 100% safely use sideload but be cautious while using rookie sideload for online games be careful to the max dont be that user that messes up for all the other users that respectfully use piracy. there's a big difference giving the middle finger to big corporations instead of ruining gameplay for other users.

I have deleted my Facebook, Instagram and oculus apps and put meta headset in back cupboard waiting for a hack.....won't spend money with these crooks anymore

I know this is a super old video, but I would die if I crouched and used my arms the whole time I played lol. Wrist flicking actually took my skills to an entirely new level. So Im not sure I agree on the full arm swing tip. For me, the claw grip, using my wrists, and fine tuning with saber tailor blew my mind. I had no idea how much of a drastic difference those changes would make in my performance and accuracy. Also, and alot of people dont talk about this, but the campaign in the game is a HUGE help. by the time I finished it I was so much better.

I have a question thats hard to find but if I got bone lab on quest and I use a link cable to my pc and boot up bone lab on pc in the quest app will it look like pc vr or quest

I recommend if you wanna play PCVR don’t even bother with the oculus app or the quest. The quest is a good headset, but the oculus app is such a piece of joke its outdated and constantly has to be reinstalled. No sound the time and you can forget about getting your Sim racing rig tooling through it. You will have none of these problems if you have a headset and you link direct to steam

Games that use virtual pointers don't work that well. With only one eye, the pointer doesn't line up with what I want to select.

you haven't told us yes or no you just said maybe i wanted to know if the battery protection is on the quest quest side, if it is supported but depend on the charger or if it isn't supported at all because it would tell me if i need to be careful, i don't care at all or i don't care if it's plugged into a good charger or pc
