Its got the purity of being a very new song, i think sometimes by the time an artist records a song its a bit old and its hard to capture the roots of the emotions that they were expressing. I love hearing a song in its earliest form

I still can't believe he just threw out songs like this. Most people would kill to have come up w/ this tune, and the only evidence of it is this barely audible recording.

he says the song doesn't have a name. Correct e if i'm wrong but wasn't the whole Mary lou thing after heatmiser? This song had a name by that point right? did he just really dislike naming his songs?

He was calling it see you later...both half right and see you later are mic city sons I believe....he must have written see you later after this, just based on having a title he wanted to use.

shanegarm no I think you can hear the guy say what was the last song you played and he responded with, “see you later”. He probably was playing new stuff for them and then she started taping it.
@MaryLouLord1

@@incessantmurkysmuggler He did play See You Later. I think this was from a Radio interview (we ended up hanging out with the kids from the station)....I don't remember what station it was though.... we did around early spring of 95. I had this tape, and I put it to digital, and onto Soundcloud about 8 years ago. It had this early version of half right, and see you later. I dont think he played any other songs that day. The station gave me the tape. I found it yrs later, and onto soundcloud. Someone found that, and put it up on you tube.

this says capo at 4, a.k.a G#, but idk. when it comes to playing a C chord, you could lower the capo 2 frets to F#, fretting "a D chord," and it would still be the same chord. think it's all about those 320 Cmajor7 310 Cminor 210 B+(aug) transitions... if the open notes aren't right, it'll sound real weird.

the violin is distracting too... (it's awesome he got someone to play violin with him though.. random, since the only time i've heard it happen. but i kinda wish he did at least a few more times. but i of all people know how hard it is to keep things together & them not just falling apart...)
