I can tell you that I just had mine removed also and sadly, the swelling happens about 2 to 3 days after the surgery, and the bruising about 5 days away. I never had any pain and mine was impacted. If you have any pain, try and sleep with your head as elevated as possible, I slept in a recliner teh first 3 nights and that helped too
