Fool's Mate is a music magazine first published in 1977. Initially, it was a progressive rock magazine. The name of the magazine was taken from the name of a Peter Hammill album. The editor-in-chief, Masashi Kitamura, later formed a band called YBO2. Masami Akita (Merzbow) also wrote for the magazine. With its 100th issue, the magazine made a major change in direction to become a magazine specializing in Japanese rock bands. 2012, the magazine was closed and went online. It is currently based on Nicovideo.

For Lovebites fans all over the world, there is one interesting piece of information I just learned 10 seconds ago listening to this interview. Miyako wanted to be a medical doctor as a middle school child and was in two mind whether to pursue her carrier to become a pianist or to go to a medical school to be a surgeon (from about 5'30").

Including many music teachers, and specifically some piano teachers..A true perfectionist, which describes Miyako, are always more critical of themselves than anyone else in their quest for perfection, so don't pat yourself on the back..
