@@timkunkel5431 This was 1990 - the problems had started to surface. The trip was mostly in the Central Asia part of what was the USSR and there were destinations that we were meant to go to but couldn’t due to civil unrest.

Love seeing an old rotary engine spinning, it actually helped a good pilot to spin a Sopwith Camel about face and shoot the airplane that had been on his tail.

I had a Pitts S-1C back in the '80s, and it had no battery, or any kind of electrical system. It had to be hand started. I had to learn how to help other Pilots start their aircraft, and there is a simple procedure to do this very scary thing, but once you know what to do, and keep your wits, it's kind of safe.

How not to safely prop an engine! These chaps need to be shown how to palm, not wrap your fingers around the prop, raise their leg, swing it down and away while pulling through and rotating the body AND THEIR BLEEDIN HEADS away from the propellers.

I have had the rare privilege of driving a home-built car around whats left of Brooklands in 1996 (The Bellini Special). The Napier Railton was there for a photo-shoot, it really is the most intimidating yet beautiful beast... as is The Brooklands banking! Thank you for the upload.

Leonardo Da Vinci’s drawings have them as future flying machines. We put modern combustion engines for longer sustained flight verses a glider.

i enjoyed the vid, i have ridden over the bromham bridge many times. i still visit the area but have moved away so use my car to go that way now.
