In Beecher's defense putting on a full MOP suit takes a lot of practice. Just lacing up the boot covers takes some skill. The Marines would have done countless drills practicing all the MOP levels. Beecher probably got a brief introduction. In truth, the first time the reporter had to face a gas attack he may as well have been laying face down in front of Schillinger.
