I always found going up in a high-reach to be a lot more unnerving when in the middle of a parking lot like this, with nothing around you, than going up next to wall.

With a fish eye camera our globe looks round, but infact it is flat when you look around from a boomlift (been there, seen that from 30m hight)

Let me guess. It is only about 100 people in earth that have the skill and certification to operate this thing. Am I right it wrong?

I was in a boom truck with a man basket and I was around 70 feet straight up from the truck just standing there having a smoke and taking in the beautiful day and Charlie the yard rat came flying around the corner of the building in a big old Allis yard forklift and he ran (fast) into my outrigger. I came so stinking close to coming out of that basket...

Rumor has it, he’s still trying to raise that lift to 185 feet

What isnt shown is that one is required to wear a harness thats attached to the man basket in case one falls. The placebo affect is real.

The 135’ lift same brand is so much smoother and faster. Also allows more functions to be used at the same time. The 185’ is a terd

So I’ve only been on a 120’ I bet that lift is $10,000 a day but I did climb to the crows nest of a 220’ tower crane that was boss but the best was my dumb friend on the 120’ and a carpenter came up who was annoyed by this kid a lot and took over the controls at the bottom and started spinning the machine around 360° while he was up top screaming haha I climbed to the roof of the building to watch him scream and cry.

Wild. Wild how indifferent some people are to heights. Only possible way i could do this is if i had designed and built that machine, and/or thoroughlyyy tested it. Like id have to know that machine like it was family lol
