The Rave scene in LA during the 90s was wild. Got to see Moby perform a few times. One time he just played a track of a train, it was awesome.

We had another Jason Bourne episode on TV here, and stupid me was thinking: what is this final music? I know this! And then i found it's Extreme Ways from one of my most beloved musicians, Moby! The true genius! I have a lot of his, listening for decades (but not recently) and i can say this is one artist that truly touched my soul...

I saw Moby this year at Cruel World in Pasadena at Heaven 17. He was there for the music and standing alone for a little while in the crowd, toward the back, like me. I let him be, although I truly did want to go up to him and gush with excitement about how much of my life I've spent LOVING his music (since 1994 or 1995-ish). Marveling in his presence, I smiled, thinking, "Wow, he is here for Heaven 17, a band that I also deeply enjoyed and devoured in the early 80's, too!" Then of course excited people approached him, bothering him, and he left (he went backstage). I still think about this energetic similarity, preferences in sounds and music, and what inspires and moves each of us.

I danced to Go in 1991. I was 17 and that was it for me for Moby. I knew this man and I felt the same sounds and it was special. My father heard me playing the album and came into my room and asked what it was. He too felt it. My father died in 2009 tragically. When I was going thru his things I found a CD titled, "Moby Mix" and it was similar. I cried my heart out when I listened to it alone 10 years later in 2019 right before covid. I spent covid finally grieving his death and to this day I still find a dime when I listen to it. (Look up dimes and death) I hope to find a dime today listening to yours. Take care of yourselves. Life is very short. Appreciate the kindness of what's left of our world. <3

Great mix!

Took Moby's work for granted for years. Now his work is something I seek out and feel so grateful for. A good few years ago my dad drove me through our village from the top of the hill that faces our family home (Dinmore Hill) playing Moby and it was one of the most perfect moments of my life. I haven't lived in Herefordshire since I was 19 so just hanging out is such a treat. Just a short drive with my dad that lasted as long as the Moby tune, beautiful greenery passing us by, the family home off in the distance looking replete, it was incredible how deep the music went and we were part of it. As we pulled in the driveway the tune ended and a Motown number came on , dad turned the engine off. I don't like to detract from a moment like that but I filmed the whole thing my phone. The video is in two parts, can't remember why. I've watched the videos so many times and each time it reduces me to tears and I just feel the love in me bursting bursting bursting out out out.
