Someone recently lit the temporary Memorial in Orlando on fire. To think hate is still alive after all these years! HOWEVER President Biden has officially signed a proclamation making the site of Pulse Nightclub an official and protected historical landmark AND a drawings and plans for the permanent memorial has been agreed upon and building should start in 2022. The massacre is now the 2nd worst mass shooting in the United States, was the first until the shooting in Las Vegas.

Objectivly I must say this is my favorite version of the song. The video recording isn’t the best quality but the performances are breath taking

I'm typing this through tears, cause I can hear my late grandmother singing this to me. This was her favorite song. She always believed that I would be a famous writer, and on the last day my husband and I visited her, not knowing this was goodbye, she was 100% lucid and for a couple sacred hours her mind was free from the poison of dementia. She absolutely adored my husband and introduced him to all the other residents as her "grandson-in-law". She embodied the word "Love"; and one of my fondest memories was her taking me to downtown Jacksonville, an area I immediately fell in love with. I went to her AIDS quilt meeting with her and the memory is so vivid in my mind, not because I remember a word that was said, but I saw how loving of a person she truly was, and all I can remember is her face and her hugging everyone there before devoting the rest of the time to me, her only granddaughter. I'm not sure, even at 35 years old, what I believe, but Grandma, I will share this in memory of you.
