Rotations that they did comes from their understanding the game and momentum. In terms of defensive phase, in Inter everything is well organised. But in offensive phase they have a lot of freedom. Only few things, specially in low build-up is organised but the rest of the play is just about give players freedom.

In Inter's offensive phase, the players would have freedom as long as they comply with their playing pattern, because in reality Inter does play positional football, based on attacking defenses and the occasional rotation of them with Calhanoglu, or rotating Dumfries or Dimarco with one of the forwards in the offensive phase (this game model as such was established throughout the season). In the Inter matches and the tactical board itself they are shown like this: about how each player is organized in lines and finds a space without the sector of players on the right or left wing getting together in short spaces to touch the ball consecutively (as relationshipism teams usually do), and that game pattern can be represented as positional play. The teams that play non-positional or relational games are Fluminense or Malmo; but Inter does not play like that since their model and style of play is different from that of the teams already mentioned.
