Pernambuco Pygmy-owl population is not known. It is even thought to be extinct because of no sightings since several years.

I have one in the woods where my home is. I have heard it for several years but never saw it. Woke up this past Saturday to it singing right outside my open bedroom window. Peeked outside and there it was. I was so happy to finally see it. Such a cutie!

Beautiful and mesmerising song ❤ I've been looking after a little thrush for 3 weeks now...I'm still not sure if it's a song ,mistle or wood thrush as they're similar to look at. Such a little character..it's now in a big aviary outside with natural dirt and leaf floor to learn to scratch about looking for bugs, worms and snails...one step from being released back where it was found in a forest in Brittany France.

🥹So sweet! I think you should add proper hotel room numbers on each of the occupied rooms.

I’ve been catching snakes and lizards and other reptiles my whole life. Never knew about coach whips till I saw one in boot camp in Georgia. I grew up in pasco county, north of Tampa, and I need to know. WHAT PART OF FLORIDA WAS THIS FILMED 😂

At a certain time of year, most male birds will do this: have a battle with the other male they see in the window. We had a line of patio door/window on our front deck where the male towhees would line up to bang heads with their reflections, ignoring the other (real) males to either side, for about one week when the reflections were just right. Our cats sat fascinated inside, watching the show.

Too much testosterone can cause birds to do stupid things like trying to attack their reflection thinking it’s another male.
