How do I set the A/C to shut off at night and turn on during the day so I never have to manually turn them on? I can't figure out the timer.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Күн бұрын
To be honest I never use the timers on the remote. For me I found it costs less to leave it on all the time to the same temp, but that is just my home, yours may be different. The easiest way to set timers is to get the Wi-Fi adapter and do it on your phone.

I just got this same unit installed. Is this the part number for the wifi adapter: UTY-TFSXH4? The manual doesn't mention it.

Well done. Have a question, how to set a Fujitsu simple controller uty-rsry function 7 to enable. Somehow it says operation prohibited for me. Your help is greatly appreciated.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 11 күн бұрын
I do not know what function 7 is or what it is attached to. I am sure some googling can answer that question. I do know that the thermostat manual can tell you how to change those settings, but you need to refer to the indoor unit manual for what each setting is. Hope this helps.

Just wondering if there is a chance that the line under the deck may have been compromised by a deck cleaning job that used a caustic cleaner?? Or, are you seeing this same type of damage in areas that couldn't have been exposed to something like that.

I don't think so. I have seen line set failures below several decks.

@TrolleyBrothers

Since you won't be using it in summer you can shutnit off or leave it on. It doesn’t matter. Just turn the dial down to off so it doesn't sample the air periodically for no good reason.

I have the same digital Automatic Humidifier Control unit depicted in your video. During summer months, do you turn the knob to “off?” From your video, I learned to turn the damper handle to “summer” in the summer months (installed in winter months and forgotten about until now… lol)
@TrolleyBrothers

Yes you can do that, this should prevent the control from periodically running the furnace fan to sample the air and see if humidification is required.

Is the water heater more energy efficient to run in just heat pump mode vs eco mode?
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 2 ай бұрын
No it is not actually. i did a test myself for three months on each mode and Eco mode is more efficient. Sometimes if the water heater decides it will take more power to recover with the heat pump instead of using the elements, then it will just use the elements or mix the use of both at the same time.

I just had the 65 gallon of this tank installed, it is in heat pump mode. If someone takes a shower, the next person is getting cold water. Is there something wrong with the tank or are we using the wrong mode? Any suggestions? Thank you
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 3 ай бұрын
That is hard to say without seeing the setup, was it professionally installed? There are a lot of variables such as the temp the tank is set to and if there is a mixing valve and plenty of other things.
@n1983mg
@n1983mg 3 ай бұрын
@@TrolleyBrothers thanks for your reply. It was professionally installed. No mixing valve. It’s set to 140. I changed the setting off of heat pump to the option that uses heat pump and electric, it’s a little better, but with 65 gallons, should be able to take at least 2 even 3 showers in a row. Gas > electric so far. I am a developer and this is my first all electric build. Prefer gas so far.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 3 ай бұрын
Have you had your installer back out to address the issue? 65 gallons should be plenty of water for normal length showers. Also was the water heater installed to manufacturers specifications? I am referring to space requirements as well. This water heater is most efficient on the "energy saver" mode as compared to straight heat pump mode. Hopefully your situation can be figured out easily.

do you have to guide the rope or does it even itself out on the spool without intervention?

I never had to hand wind the rope. Even with 350' of line the spool had plenty of room. I was able to buy very high quality rope that is just as strong but thinner to be able to fit more line.

Hey guys. I have two of these units and I want them to run on separate remote (A,B). It says in the manual to ask how to do this. My installer wasn’t sure or helpful. Do you know how to change the units so they work on different remote?
@TrolleyBrothers

Yes, it is possible to address the remotes. I have never needed to do it for any customer so I do not know how to do it exactly off the top of my head. I have seen it in the manuals though. Just make note of what you set each one to so if a remote fails or gets lost you will know how to set the new remote.

When the remote batteries start to get tired the remote screen will not be as dark and you have to get closer to the unit for it to get the signal. Just change the batteries and it should solve your problems.

I would suggest an HVAC contractor like us that does water heaters. From what I am told with this unit, if the heat pump fails they just give you another water heater up to 10 years later. We install the line from our supplier and not what home depot has so there may be a difference there in the warranty procedure. The noise in the video is amplified by the camera. It is not very loud in person at all in my opinion. There are comparison videos online about the noise produced.

We’re considering one of these with a new furnace. What are the downsides to this system? I’m concerned about mold or moisture buildup in my furnace or ducts.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 9 ай бұрын
There are really not any downsides. These do not store water like the old style whole humidifiers once did. These have water trickle down through the panel and the excess water drains away and goes into a pump. I have not seen any mold or moisture issues with these humidifiers. They also have an outdoor temperature sensor to limit the humidity when necessary.
