Also, if there's one thing I'd retcon from this game, it's the idea that Wesker had sex with some random lady in Europe. I would say it would be better if Jake was grown in a lab, but I don't think Wesker wanted children at all, so maybe it just wasn't a great idea to try to have an emotional arc about if a kid that Wesker never interacted with somehow took after his father or was otherwise connected to him in any way that mattered emotionally.
