I would have loved to have heard these demos back in 1989 when I became a Kiss fan. However, these demos were [then] rumored to exist but never released on any format be it bootleg cassette tape, bootleg reel to reel, since CD'S were still a relatively new format back then and not everyone owned a home stereo unit with a CD player. And I never lived close enough to attend any Kiss conventions either back in these days. I knew someone, somewhere had to have Kiss demos and made additional copies of them. And I'm thankful to whoever got these uploaded so fans young and older can enjoy them. 😊 I like the Kiss demo's better than the studio finished polished versions because they capture the chemistry, the raw sound. There's a reason why I loved the original four and why I equally enjoyed the 80's lineup with Eric Carr (R.I P.), and Bruce Kulick.

It's a demo. Obviously it never made it on a KISS record. Gene comes in a a lot of demos and they either get rejected, reworked, certain things get saved for another time.

This preKISS song is so incredibly fascinating🎸 Steven Coronel🎸 his brilliant 🎶work. Gene is unusually contemplative and🎤 so emotional. deadly sad.

@tgordon. I had this show on CD back in the 90s.! Great sound.! A friend of mine with a severe Crack habit pawned all his CDs for dope money and lost them all.! Still friends we went to the Reunion Tour in full makeup Orlando Florida 96.!! This brought back memories.!

This was always one of my favorite Kiss songs, a lot of their early stuff really has that early 70s type of vibe and you can hear influences from the Beatles and Zeppelin, other contemporary music that to me puts the song depth a bit above some of the later stuff if not as catchy/ radio friendly. I like the final version of goin blind a bit more, he improved on the melody and the backup vocals added a lot to it but I love to hear proto songs like this. ( And number 500 on the likes for this video lol, lets get it to 1k! Stuff like this is what is great about youtube because you will not find this on amazon or netflix! )

Always liked this song. Ot was pretty much fleshed out at this point. Interesting. Ace plays the solo far better than whoever played on this. This sounds like a four track demo.

Weird. Sloppy..even for a demo. The guitar " solos"?? ...really bad..the falsetto choruses..hit the erase button Gene.
@thomasmurphy93487 ай бұрын
Actually not bad..not a KISS song but clean it up a bit..softer bridge..and this could be an adult contemporary song.
@lavasmokechile7 ай бұрын
Some of the guitar parts were kept untouched … especially the little riff after Gene sings “goin’ blind … 🎼Dee da do da Dee da do da Dee🎼 then of course, Ace totally gives the solo a makeover… but it was still interesting to hear the original

The song was co-written by Gene and Steve Coronel from their Wicked Lester days. The song takes on new meaning when you learn that Coronel was charged with possessing child p0rn in 2014.
@HappyMachorino-bd8no5 ай бұрын
But Steve Coronel wrote the guitar riffs🎸. His work is brilliant. He didn't write the lyrics. Besides, ex-Beatle Ringo Starr had a #1 hit "You're Sixteen". That has nothing to do with pedophilic fantasies.

Gene hated Ace because he made his guitarist sound like shit lol 🤣
@HappyMachorino-bd8no5 ай бұрын
This makes no sense. Steve Coronel and then Ron Leejack were good in Wicked Lester. But Paul and Gene wanted a Hard Rock band. That's why they left. Ace played what they wanted! Why on earth should Gene hate him?

Una verdadera porquería. Simmons nunca fue un gran compositor. Sin un productor artístico todo lo que haceves basura, incluso a veces con un productor artístico el resultado tampoco es muy bueno. El solo de guitarra es deplorable.
