What a fantastic and insightful interview. It's the first time I've tuned into a lengthy and comprehensive Malky Mackay interview and I have to give the guy his dues, he knows his stuff. Good luck in your latest role, Malky, that of Sporting Director of Hibernian FC. There is a club that is a giant in Scottish football that has definitely lost its way and needs a radical and thorough cleansing and purge of its entire operations from top to bottom.

Didn’t take hindsight to see that signing 30+ year old championship regulars, would result in championship mediocrity. I don’t mind Webber, and at times, particularly in his early tenure at Norwich, he has done well. But to suggest that those that criticised him were ill-informed, and shouldn’t voice their opinion because they don’t have as much data is complete bullshit. The success of the training ground redevelopment is not down to Webber. Any one worth a grain of salt could’ve gone to Conley and seen that it needed major investment. The truth is Webber is a fair weather operator. He Could not wait to welcome the BT sport cameras when hosting Chelsea following Norwich beating Newcastle emphatically. However, the lack of noise from Stuart following the Dean Smith appointment was staggering, the media wouldn’t have got a word from him if they’d gone in with a SWAT team at that point. Unfortunately it is this arrogance and lack of self awareness which will prevent a well-meaning hard working sporting director to reach the very top of the game.

Great interview. Looking forward to 2024 season. Excited to see what Henderson has in line for roster. Miami lucky to have him on management team and shame he wasn’t on board from the start.

Rules kept deliberately ambiguous by the Premier League so they can do as they please ...massive room for corruption with all this money being lashed about.

One of many former Denbighshire development coaches who went on to further his career. These guys were incredibly talented and certainly afforded many and I the opportunity to develop football wise and as people way back in the 90’s and 2000’s. Kevin you were ace then and thank you. Good luck in your role. Am well Impressed with your progress and you as a person.

This guy is so important for Everton, the transfer business under his stewardship so far has been very promising. The likes of James Garner, Tarkowski and McNeil have proved to be very good business. Imagine if he had money to spend!

A County fan here. Fact check here we went hybrid in 17/18 quite a few seasons before mr Wilson claims. They transitioned 2/3 seasons before Wilson came in the scene. The ground work laid by JIM GANNON was fantastic on a very low budget. Some players during that time had more than year contracts Darren stephenson had 2 as did Sam walker
