This doesn't work with a regular combination lock. The lock sits too far into the housing to pull it out by hand once the combination is set and the lock released. Do you have a recommendation for a combination lock with a long enough body to stick out a little bit once released so the box can be opened?

I use the 3/8" socket isolator on live panel in my house to ensure all connections and lugs are torqued properly every couple of years. My electric company makes a lot of fuss when I request them to disconnect power and requires 3-4 weeks of notice.

Just bought one of these in the UK. It's just been delivered and there is no 'diamond coating' on the hook, despite what it states on the packaging? I'm going to return it and see if the replacement is the same - I hope not.

Bought one yesterday from LOWES in Santee, Ca... I was sold immediately when I picked it up and read the information. Am looking forward to this Monday morning when I can shame others. This is a solid tape !! The big numbers front and back are awesome...the night eye feature works... Abusing a tool is stupid , take care of your investment. Just because you can does not mean you should. My tools are cleaned after each use and I never lend them out , period.

I have the gen1 night eye 5m and 8m and have never had such a bad tape measure. after a few months the tape breaks at 3cm with normal use, would have expected a little more quality from a manufacturer like Lufkin Cresent!
